Aluminum cans are recyclable in your bi-weekly recycling curbside pickup provided to County residents by the Mercer County Improvement Authority.
Did You Know?
Aluminum cans should not be flattened in your recycling can. Automatic sorting machines separates out two dimensional or “flat” materials (paper) from three dimensional materials. The equipment will automatically sort flattened materials as paper.
Important Note:
- All Recyclables must be in the official buckets and at the curb by 7:00 AM.
- Recyclables should not be placed in plastic bags.
- If collection day falls on a holiday (Christmas, New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving) collection will be the following Saturday.
- Call for information at 609-278-8086.
- If your recycling pick up was accidentally missed fill out and submit the Missed Recycling Form and they will work to correct the problem.
