Guide to Recyclables — Construction Materials

constructionmaterialsEwing Township provides a Waste Drop Off Convenience Center for Ewing homeowners that accepts a variety of construction materials.  These materials are sorted by Township staff and 60%-80% are recycled using the services at Mercer Group Recycling!   Items include:

  • Construction debris
  • Doors and windows
  • Lumber
  • Sheetrock

Hours: Mon – Fri 7am-4pm | Sat 7am-3:30pm
Requirements: Proof of Ewing residency, which must be a Valid NJ Driver License, a current tax bill or a utility bill is required.  The township Public Works Department provides more information at http://ewingnj.org/public-works/brush-bulk-waste/.


Habitat of Trenton ReStore

A Reuse option is to donate gently used items to Trenton’s Habitat for Humanity ReStore.  They accept:

  • lumber, doors and windows
  • flooring , including carpet, wood, vinyl, rugs, ceramic tile

All donations must be in working condition, with no stains or tears.   Check out their donations page for specifics.
